Shabana Azmi is a five-time National Film Award- and Padma Shri-winning Indian actress of film, television and theatre. The daughter of poet Kaifi Azmi and stage actress Shaukat Azmi, she is an alumna of the Film and Television Institute of India. She has also received the Padma Bhushan, the third-highest civilian award, in 2020.
